Touch Up Your Photos For Free
April 9, 2008 – 5:55 amIt always tickles me when people or businesses run out to buy the latest upgrade of programs like Microsoft Word. The vast majority of normal users probably only use about 25% of the features in these programs. When it comes to programs like photo editors, most of us use ever few of the available features.
Although I know how to use features like layers, for the most part I find myself using a my photo editor to crop, resize and remove red eye from my digital photos. That’s why I wouldn’t even consider spending $900 to buy Photoshop, the industry standard in photo editors. I think Adobe understands that their flagship program is more than most of us need and it has a pretty steep learning curve.
Enter the new web-based edition of Photoshop Express. All you have to do is upload your photos to edit them. This dumbed down version of Photoshop is easy to use and offers a variety of options. After you finish editing your photos, you can e-mail them or make them available via your personal photo gallery. Adobe even gives you two gigabytes of free photo storage to get started. You get access to all this for FREE (as in beer). Check it out.
