TWIT Live TV – Even Better Than Tech TV

June 3, 2008 – 5:55 am

TWIT TVA few years back, I nearly quit watching traditional television shows. Why? Well, I just couldn’t bring myself to watch another goofy situation comedy, the newest flavor of CSI or (god forbid) Cops. Instead, in my search for intellectual stimulation, I got hooked on Tech TV. Unfortunately, I was a little late to the party and Paul Allen (the co-founder of Microsoft and the owner of Tech TV) decided to dump Tech TV on G4, a video game network, who quickly disassembled everything good about the network.

To satisfy my technology information addiction, I turned to podcasts and iTunes. Now I am happy to report that I have found another new source to feed my tech information needs – TWIT TV. Leo Laporte, the former host of The Screen Savers and Call For Help on Tech TV has founded a private IP television network. He has set up a studio in his office and he is serving up 25 hours of content each week. He is still working out the production gremlins but the content in even better than what he was doing on Tech TV.

If you want to get your geek thing on, check out TWIT Live TV. You can’t beat the cost – it is FREE (as in beer).
