Best Buy Debuts Free Recycling Trial

Best BuyBest Buy is trying out a free recycling program at stores 117 Best Buy stores scattered across eight states.

The trial will debut at Best Buy stores in Northern California, Minneapolis, Baltimore, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The program will provide consumers will be a convenient way to dispose of up to two items per day including most televisions (up to 32 inch), old computers, monitors and other gadgets. If the test goes well, they may expand the recycling program to all 922 of its U.S. stores.

The programs does not include console televisions, air conditioners, microwave ovens and other large appliances so it might be a good idea to check with your local store for rules.
