Take Your Firefox With You

June 28, 2008 – 5:56 am

FirefoxFor a long time, I have recommended making Firefox your browser of choice for a variety of reason, including security. Unfortunately, many business and agency IT departments prevent you from installing software on your work or public computer. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have access to Firefox, along with your bookmarks, add-ons and passwords from any computer you use? Well now you can!

That’s right – now you can use the Mozilla Firefox – Portable Edition even when you are surfing the net on a borrowed or public computer, you don’t have to worry about leaving a trail behind. Just load Firefox Portable on a thumb drive that can plug into any computer. All you need is a thumb drive with at least 16.9 MB of space. I will let you use your imagination about why it might be a good idea to use this on your work computer.

There are versions of this great application available for both the Windows and Mac platforms.
