Periodic Table of Elements Meets The Internet

I usually do not write about Websites that are too far outside the areas of interest for the average cop or computer hobbyist. However, I had to make an exception for this Website about the Periodic Table of the Elements that is served up by deep thinkers at the University of Nottingham. If for no other reason, I had to mention it for its innovative educational methodology.
The home page is simply a graphic of the table of periodic elements but when you click on an element, a short video pops up. It is obvious that the scientists in the videos had a good time producing the educational flicks and they did a great job of making science understandable.
School will be starting shortly so let your friends with children know about this great resource. Better yet, shut off the television and spend some time relearning the elements for the fun of it.
