Set Up an On-Line Address Book

An on-line address book of your personal contacts is a really useful tools. You can access your address book information from any computer. You’re not just limited to e-mail addresses.

You don’t have to enter each person’s contact information one by one.
Yahoo! (http://www.yahoo.com), Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com), AIM
(http://www.aim.com) and Gmail (http://www.mail.google.com) allow you to
import contact information.

Transferring your information from an off line address book like Outlook is easy. First, the information must be converted to a CSV (comma separated values) file. Click File>>Import and Export. Select “Export to a file” and click Next. Select Comma Separated Values (Windows). Click Next. Select your Contacts folder. Click Next. Name your file, then click
Next>>Finish.

In Outlook Express, select File>>Export>>Address Book. Select Text
File (Comma Separated Values) and click Export. Name the file and
Click Next>>Finish.

The import option is usually located on the addresses or contacts page of your free Web-based e-mail provider. On-screen directions walk you through the importing process.
