Help Still Needed in the Gulf States
November 20, 2005 – 10:09 amSheriff Mike Brown and his team from the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia will be making another trip to deliver needed items to law enforcement agencies in the Gulf States who are still struggling with the aftermath of the devastation caused by Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. We ran a front page story in the November issue of American Police Beat about Sheriff Brown’s relief effort.
If you were not able to help out because of timing issues last and would still like to do so now everyone would be very grateful.
The Sheriff will be leaving for Mississippi and Louisiana at the end of the first week of December. Once again, Walmart will be accepting the shipments. Deadline for receiving shipments is December 5.
