I like to read a good book but I also hate spending the money for new books. I love to pick up inexpensive books at library sales or second hand book stores. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for me to buy a book and when I start reading it, discover that I’ve already read it.

I guess I’m not the only one because the folks at Library Thing have designed a website for people like me. The site helps me manage my books. Just register and add your books to your personal on-line library. It’s simple, type in a few keywords and select your book from a list of results.

Library Thing uses the Amazon database, so your books are probably in there. You can include keyword tags with your book descriptions to help you organize books by subject or location.

Try using a “read” or “unread” tag to help you remember which book you have read. They also include book reviews and comments from other members.
