Word Keyboard Shortcuts
March 8, 2005 – 6:16 amI’m a fan of keyboard shortcuts, trying to move my hands from the keyboard to the mouse as seldom as possible.
There are many buttons on the formatting toolbar that I do choose to use, and I like to select them without using the mouse. Fortunately, the keyboard shortcuts are easy to remember:
Ctrl + Shift + S selects the Style drop-down list. Once selected I can use the up and down arrow keys to select the desired style, then press Enter.
Ctrl + Shift + F selects the Font drop-down list. As with Style, I use the up/down/enter keys to make a change to selected text.
Ctrl + Shift + P selects the font size. To remember this shortcut, think: “P stands for point size
” of the font.
