If It Ain’t Broke, Fwix It Anyway
April 22, 2010 – 7:11 amThe internet is a great news resource but the volume of information can be overwhelming. I don’t mind hearing about national and world news but I prefer to read about my local news.
I finally found a way to distill out the news that is important to me – I Fwix it. Fwix is an aggregation site that searches my local media news sources including television and newspapers then gathers it together on a single page. The page is broken up into sections, like business, crime or sports with a headline and short synopsis of each story.
Just create your account, put in your zip code and select your topics of interest. There are also Fwix-powered apps available for mobile phones. It is a great way to monitor stories about a given event (you know – like Quadfest). It is my new favorite daily read. Check it out.
