Website: Take a Vista Test Drive

January 13, 2007 – 9:35 am

VistaWindows Vista will finally be available for consumers to purchase in a couple of weeks. Of course Microsoft will do its best to convince everyone that they absolutely “have” to have the the new operating system.

Vista does have some new features that you may like find to be an improvement over XP. There is a lot of “eye candy” and it is more “Mac-like” but there is going to be a learning curve for new users so don’t install it if you are in the middle of a busy time at work or in your life.

If you would like to get a feel for Vista before you make your upgrade decision, check out the Microsoft test drive site. The site will show you the new features and let you kick the tires on Vista. You will have to park Firefox if you are going to take this test drive since it will only run if you are using Internet Explorer. You also have to download and install an ActiveX control.
