Change in Virginia Exclusionary Rule

Jack E. Call, who is a professor of criminal justice at Radford University, has written another great overview of a recent Virginia Supreme Court decision. In the overview, entitled “The Virginia Supreme Court Issues Important Decision Concerning Application of the Exclusionary Rule to Arrests Unlawful Under State Law“, he examines the facts in the decision and opinion in Moore v. Commonwealth for the VACP’s Virginia Police Legal Bulletin. This is a “must read” for trainers and law enforcement officers.

Mr. Call’s writings have been used as the basis for on-line training courses in the past and he continues to provide the type of legal evaluations that are easily understood by law enforcement officers.
